STEM IT (60 Credits) Level 1

Overview

In today’s competitive business environment, IT plays a crucial role in helping organisations deliver the best products and services. As businesses increasingly leverage technology, the demand for skilled IT professionals continues to grow. The Level 1 Foundation Diploma in IT is a 60 credit qualification (equivalent to one A Level) designed to equip learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to start a career in IT or progress to further study.

This programme provides learners with the opportunity to develop practical and sector-relevant skills in computer systems, networks, coding, website development, mobile communications, cybersecurity, and social media for business.

The course comprises six modules and six written assignments, with each module including 40 guided learning hours. In addition, learners have access to 30–50 hours of optional materials, including recommended exercises, readings, online resources, and self-assessment activities, to further enhance their learning.
