Teacher Training level 1 & 2

Overview

The Level 1 & 2 Diploma in Education and Training is ideal for individuals currently working in the education sector, as well as those with significant experience who wish to formalise their expertise with a recognised qualification. This 120-credit programme is accredited by Qualifi, an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation.

Students will gain the knowledge and practical experience required to meet professional teaching standards through a combination of theoretical study and practical teaching activities. The theoretical content is delivered via 9 online modules, while practical experience is gained through a teaching placement. This placement can be a current role or a new position secured during the course, and may be based in a school, college, or community setting, provided there is a mentor to support and verify the student’s work.

Assessment for the programme consists of 9 online multiple-choice assessments and 7 written assignments. Each written assignment includes Part A, based on online academic content, and Part B, based on the student’s personal teaching experience. Parts A and B can be completed separately, allowing students to begin assignments without a placement, although a placement is required to fully complete them.

This diploma prepares students to teach in a variety of educational contexts. Upon successful completion, learners will be able to plan and implement schemes of work, develop effective teaching strategies, and deliver lessons confidently in schools, colleges, and universities worldwide.

After completing the course and obtaining their QTLS, students can benefit from a partnership between Online Business School and T15 International, which offers support in finding suitable teaching positions globally.
